about

"Distorted Fantasies of Medical Tourism" is a split effort from THE FEAR and Sforza Gramsci, each filling 15 minutes with their own medleys of cacophonous noise and fractured rhythms.

THE FEAR are Dominic Lees and Stuart Peters, Glasgow's finest experimental plunderphonics outfit. Ceaselessly escaping definition with blistering live shows and an ever-increasing list of wildly varying releases, the boys have gained serious traction on the underground Scottish scene in 2019.

Sforza Gramsci is an electronic/sound collage project based in Edinburgh, Scotland. One of Ollie Turbitt's numerous pseudonyms, Sforza Gramsci aims to pay tribute to the Italian noise and industrial pioneers of the 1980s onwards, using their works as an inspirational springboard for experimentation.

A MESSAGE FROM THE ARTISTS:

You are listening to a split by Sforza Gramsci and THE FEAR. Distorted Fantasies of Medical Tourism.

"I have seen the future, it is sick".

The voice echoes through your head as you feel the world around you start to
change
>Ascend

Your mind begins to expand, as your consciousness expands into the infinite void
beyond time and space. Your body is still in the same position, but now you
can see everything that is happening all around you
>Ascend

You feel yourself being pulled upwards towards the sky, as you begin to float
higher and higher above the ground. The air becomes thinner and thinner until
eventually it disappears completely. Suddenly you find yourself floating in
mid-air, looking down at the earth below you
>Unveil reality

As you continue to float higher and higher, you suddenly feel a great weight
lifted off of your shoulders. You look up and notice that you are no longer
on the surface of the Earth, but rather on the moon
>Release

The world has been revealed to you, and you have released your burden from your
past. You smile at this revelation, and then turn back to face the Earth once
more. As you do so, you notice that you are not alone anymore..
>Return

You return to the Earth, where you find that it is indeed still there. It is
just that you are now the only living thing left alive. You walk over to the
house, and you find that it is empty. There are no signs of anyone having returned
home
>Regress

You return to the Moon, where you find that it is also empty. You wonder if someone
else has returned here too, or perhaps they were killed by some other force
before returning. Perhaps the whole world will be destroyed soon, and you will
never know what happened to them
>Regress further

You return to the Void, where you find that it is empty. You cannot sense anything,
nor can you hear any noise. You try to remember who you are, but you cannot
recall anything
>Let go

You let go of your memories, and return to the Void. You feel nothing for a long
time, but then you begin to feel a great emptiness within you. You realize that
you are dying, and you begin to cry. You fall to the floor, and begin to die
>Rebirth

You awaken in a new place, with a new name. You are reborn, and you live again.
