sforza gramsci is a sound collage project based in edinburgh, scotland. sonically, its works aim to pay tribute to the italian noise and industrial pioneers of the 1980s onwards, using their works as an inspirational springboard for experimentation. this release was loosely inspired by accounts of the chinese cultural revolution & other periods of the country's past. while not necessarily aiming to endorse or criticise the country's politics, these noise sketches aim to interpret and give a sonic form to the climate of those revolutionary times.
