"The Birds & Amplifiers Sing was created from a series of solo improvisations that were then stitched together into full tracks. Early on, we collectively decided I would be the head of the project. Lisa & Alex sent me their recordings, which I often edited, then applied effects via guitar pedals. At the time, I was listening to Set Fire to Flames near constantly, heavily influencing this album's drone-centred post-rock sound. After I finished each track, I would send it to Lisa & Alex to make sure it had their approval. Once I finished the album, I sent it to my friend & the head of Dead Hound, Ollie, to master it. I think he did a wonderful job with them. I greatly enjoyed the experience of making this album & hope you'll enjoy listening to it."
