"i completed this album all alone in self imposed exile. slowly going mad while cutoff from the world in my georgian penthouse, i found solace in the view of the city, convincing myself that I owned it and that I was king. when I could pretend that others were ants my solitude was justified. why should I, a god, interact with ants? who knows how many ants I would step on, either by mistake or, more likely, on purpose. my withdrawal from the world was a good for all of mankind, a noble sacrifice that will never be known by the world outside those four walls. this is why I made this album. it is an attempt to get famous."
